I can’t spend all my time wandering Missouri, Kansas and the World looking for antiques and other interesting things. Some days I have to stay home to do laundry and change the cat boxes.

When life interferes with my travels, I have to console myself by visiting the local auction houses and shops. They have interesting things and I get to eat dinner at home. With the cats.

This blog is about a fairly interesting day. You’ve already seen the workbench with the unique planing stop:

and the Stanley tambour tool cabinet:

There were more tools:

with the till on the right:

A Kliegl Bros. ellipsoidal spot light:

with asbestos leads:

The thing that got me to wondering was this rocking chair:

Missing a few parts.

Looking at is and its strange fasteners, you wonder if it is a knock-down or ready to assemble kit.

Reinforcement or disassembly?

Your guess is as good as mine, maybe, better.
